X2
Technology
Technical description
X2 is a new technology of communication that permits to pull out the part of numeric infrastructure setting by telephone operators. X2 allow
communication with standard telephone line by using
56 K modem. This
technology can be associated with vast
improvement with 56 K, many will only get marginal speed increases due to noisy lines or other related factors. We should note, though, that advancements leading up to the new
56 K technology have improved performance on older protocols V.42 bis, and as a result some products are achieving faster modem-to-modem connections than ever before.
The X2 of 3Com Technology permits to receive until 56 K on a classic telephone line
RTC. X2 is although
56 K modems show substantial gains over the old 33.6
K standard. This evolution is also rated how well each modem adapts to common telephone line impairments for both modem-to-modem,
analog, and modem-to-ISP, digital, PCM-encoded connections. For a modem that approaches
56 K speeds in the face of digital impairments without dropping out or falling back to analog speeds, your best bet is one that receives a 4 or 5 rating. Though the telephone network has not been fully analyzed for PCM-encoded connections to ISPs, the impairments we introduced are likely to be worse than those you would encounter in the real world.
Note: This new technology also allows speedy communications
twice faster but can vary dependently on telephone line conditions.
Advantages
This new technology permits twice faster
trusty downloading.
